agreement to terms

by accessing or using the alette mobile application ("app"), you agree to be bound by these terms of service ("terms"). if you do not agree, do not use the app.

about alette

alette is a renovation design and material tracking application developed by Amy Tourte LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). the app provides tools for capturing, organizing, and tracking material selections for renovation and design projects, along with AI-powered product recognition and specification generation features.

eligibility

you must be at least 18 years old to use alette.

account registration

to use alette, you must create an account with a valid email address and password.

you are responsible for:

  • maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials
  • all activities under your account
  • notifying us of unauthorized use

acceptable use

you agree to use alette only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms.

you agree NOT to:

  • use the app in any way that violates applicable law
  • share your account credentials
  • attempt unauthorized access to our systems
  • interfere with app functionality or security
  • use the app for commercial purposes without permission
  • scrape, data mine, or harvest data from the app
  • reverse engineer or decompile the app

design and product information disclaimer

important: alette is for organizational and reference purposes only.

the app is NOT:

  • professional design or architectural advice
  • a substitute for professional consultation
  • a guarantee of product availability, pricing, or quality
  • responsible for third-party product information or retail pricing

you acknowledge that:

  • AI product recognition is for convenience and may not be accurate
  • product prices, availability, and specifications from retailers may change
  • you should verify all product information before purchase
  • we are not responsible for products purchased through third-party links
  • design inspiration and suggestions are for reference only
  • you should consult with licensed professionals for structural, electrical, or safety-related decisions

alette is a tool for organization and planning, not professional design or purchasing advice.

user content

you retain all rights to the data you enter into alette (images, notes, project information, etc.).

by using the app, you grant us a limited license to:

  • store your data on our servers
  • display your data to you within the app
  • process your data to provide app functionality (AI recognition, sync, export)
  • create backup copies for data integrity

we do not claim ownership of your personal data. you may export or delete your data at any time.

third-party links and products

alette may contain links to third-party websites and retailers.

we are not responsible for:

  • product quality, pricing, or availability from third-party retailers
  • accuracy of product information from external sources
  • transactions made on third-party websites
  • content or privacy practices of external sites

when you click external links, you leave alette and are subject to the terms and policies of that third party.

ai product recognition

the AI recognition feature is provided "as is" for convenience.

we do not guarantee:

  • accuracy of product identification
  • completeness of extracted information
  • availability of similar products

always verify product details before making purchasing decisions.

data and privacy

your use of alette is subject to our privacy policy.

  • you can delete your account and data at any time

intellectual property

the app and its content are owned by Amy Tourte LLC and protected by intellectual property laws.

you may not:

  • copy, modify, or distribute the app
  • reverse engineer the app

  • use our trademarks without permission
  • create derivative works

termination

we may terminate your account if you violate these terms or engage in fraudulent or abusive activity.

you may terminate your account at any time through settings or by contacting hello@amytourte.com.

upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days.

disclaimers

the app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

we do not warrant that:

  • the app will be uninterrupted or error-free
  • AI recognition will be accurate
  • product information will be current or complete
  • the app will meet your specific needs
  • data will never be lost (though we implement backup systems)

limitation of liability

to the maximum extent permitted by law:

Amy Tourte LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including:

  • decisions made based on app content or AI suggestions
  • products purchased through third-party links
  • project outcomes or renovation results
  • data loss due to device failure or other circumstances
  • errors in product recognition or pricing

our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the past 12 months.

indemnification

you agree to indemnify Amy Tourte LLC from any claims arising from your use of the app or violation of these terms.

changes to terms

we may modify these terms at any time. we will notify you of significant changes through the app. continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

governing law

these terms are governed by the laws of the state of colorado, united states.

dispute resolution

any disputes arising from these terms or use of the app shall be resolved through binding arbitration in colorado, except where prohibited by law.
